The more, the merrier.

Making the season bright.

We haven’t had many moments to pause since opening Hytte & Co. this fall, running back and forth to each shop as we rapidly restock our shelves (and rearrange our spaces!) in anticipation of the holiday rush. Yet one of the unexpected silver linings of juggling these different roles has been the more personal, in-depth interactions we’ve had with long-time customers at Hytte & Co. So many of you have come in to say hello and share your favorite Süti & Co. stories—and a few dozen of those conversations have even turned into collaborative design consultations!

The expansion to a second store has also opened up new space at Süti & Co., which we have filled by not only reimagining and elevating our indoor seating, but also by providing a more giftable selection of handcrafted items. From eye-catching ceramics, to seasonal adornments and conversation-sparking decor, you’ll find both unusual and meaningful gifts for friends and family—all in easy-to-pack sizes for your upcoming travel!

At the same time—as we look back over a challenging year for small businesses—the love we feel from our community is also layered with anxiety about the future of our beloved downtown. From inflation and tariffs, to the rising cost of labor, the vast majority of retailers, restaurants and small storefronts are still struggling—no matter what it looks like on Instagram. So this holiday season, we ask you to intentionally skip online shopping, stroll the streets and support as many of your favorite Boulder businesses as you can. Whether you visit our shops or our hardworking neighbors, it truly makes a difference in ensuring that independent businesses remain a vibrant part of our city’s commercial fabric.

P.S. As you go about your shopping, please note that our final cutoff for shipping is December 14th.  We will also close one hour earlier at both shops on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and will be closed December 25th, 26th and January 1st.

Holiday Happenings

Meet the Artist
December 4th | 5:30 - 7pm

One of our primary goals for Hytte & Co. has been to create a space for customers to connect with local artists. So at this first (of many) meet-the-artist events, we’ve invited Boulder mixed-media artist Andrew Barker to share the abundant natural beauty of his work. With scenes featuring flora, fauna and the landscapes of the American West, we’ve been honored to hang a small selection of his works on our walls and are excited to showcase an even broader selection of his original works and prints for purchase.

The Art of Hygge Gifting
Saturday, December 13th

This full-day event at Hytte & Co. will focus on the Danish value of hygge—and how intentional gifting ties into the creation of comfort and meaning in our homes. As you walk each of our staged spaces, discover notes about the principles of Danish homemaking and the ways that these Scandinavian values can encourage the creation of new rituals and an increased sense of contentment.

Elegant Hostess Gifts

Building on the popularity of our limited-edition holiday cookie tins, we have decided to offer a smaller, more traditional collection of sweets in ready-to-purchase tins for $45. A perfect alternative to a bottle of wine or flowers, these cookies are a perfect, portable gesture for dinner parties and other gatherings—and would even make a fitting client gift!

Available in-person at both Süti & Co. and Hytte & Co.
